Speak For Yourself

Now this was the best motha’effing party I’ve EVER been to. No lie, I had the time of my life. Dancing with my girls, dancing with the random guys - and oh boy, do I have to elaborate on them. Doode, it seriously was the best. I’ve never sweated so much from dancing. Lol. They played the ERR ERR ERR ERRRR sound so friggin much during the whole thing that it started to annoy even me. But it’s all good because it just added more to the fun. Haha. Oh man, the guys were really touchy. In some instances, I got asked what I was doing after and then I was invited back to a hotel room. Another guy was like, “I’m good on the dance floor, but I’m way better in the bedroom.” LOL. These just kept making me laugh. When I was about to separate from one guy to get water with the girls, he pulled me back and said that it was fun dancing with me and he hopes that we’ll meet again someday. Oh, so I also technically danced with “DJ”. He’s so weird.. Haha. But haaayy. And how could I forget, I got a picture with my favorite Poreotic Chad <3 I greeted him Happy Birthday and he was super sweet (:

At the last hour, we decided to go back in and finish the night off. I danced with one last guy and he asked where I go to. When I said Fullerton, he asked if I wanted to stay in touch because he’s at Long Beach. We traded numbers. He also asked me if he could get a picture with me and so we took one. The end of the night he told that he felt bad for his friend because he was walking alone so he had to leave dancing me. He told me that he had a great time with me and he’ll hit me up. And then he kissed me on the cheek. Haha, yeah. Good night. Very good night. 

Friendship Games was the bomb. I had lots of fun and got to meet people and actually talk to them. Lots of well-known people were actually there yesterday. Like Albert Posis (:

And I already posted the picture with Lawrence Devera. Dumbo, Chad, and Charles were there yesterday too. Mm, I had fun being in Registration Committee because we got to check in everybody and all that stuff. People from high school came too like Ashley, Reichele, Nadine, Davis, and Michelle Li. Pretty dope. 

There were the performances from different singers that are on their way to the top and the dances crews: Team Millennia, Kaba Modern, and Pac Modern. 

And of course, there were the games! SJSU turned out to win everything - the games and the SPUF spirit award. Deeeyum. I seriously wanna be more involved with PASA now, especially with Friendship Games next year. They really are cool. I’ve learned to give everything a chance before I judge it. Because I’ve been missing out with PASA.

Dear Mom & Dad,

I truly am a proud daughter and happy to have you two as my parents. You raised me to become the woman that I’ve become and taught me the responsibilities I needed to learn for life. We may have our downs, but in the end I believe that that happens only because you guys care and you’re trying to raise me to become the best person I can be. I really do hope that I make you two proud as well and I will definitely do more for you guys when I’m grown up. Thank you again for everything. I love you <3

I ended the thing I’ve been having with Samson today. Things just didn’t feel right and I felt like I was having something with him for the wrong reasons. Plus, we’ve only known each other for two weeks. But I’m glad I said it and he seemed okay with it. I just hope things won’t be awkward between us.. like at the Circle K meeting tomorrow. o.o

What is a dream? Is it something that an individual desires? Is it the future? Well for me, dreams extremely influence my actions. That’s why my feelings change a lot.

I just had a dream about B. Nguyen. And it’s totally changing my feelings right now. I don’t know what I want anymore.

• Jowhun - I got that nickname from JP back when I was in 8th grade. It just flowed with everyone and so people started saying it.
• Seestar - With my lovely Patricia. Because we’re Seestars <3
• Wifi/Wifey/Wifey Churro/BabyMomma (Damn, Arielle) - I have a lot of nicknames with this girl and they all have a meaning or story behind them. 
• Slut - I first called Lauren hoe, so she decided to call me slut.
• Joannarella - From Roxibelle <3 Inspired by Disney Princesses.
• Joanna - Yeah, people just get my name wrong and end up saying Joanna.
• J-Shizzle (LOL) - I thought of this way back in 7th or 8th grade and people still remember it to this day. What the hell was I thinking. -___- 
• Ron - Ron, Ron Weasley. Along with my Harry Potter, Julie Nguyen.

I know I have more, but I can’t remember them.

I’ll share one dream I have. And it’s mainly from this guy:

He went to my high school and look at him now. He followed his dream/hobby/lifestyle with the power of dance. He gave me a dream that I want to achieve. Of course, this dream isn’t realistic for everyone in the world, but hey I can try (:

So, I haven’t been really writing my mandatory Thursday blogs. I’ve missed like two weeks? Err, oops. But anyways, I simply must blog today. 

After I left the Circle K meeting today, Samson ran after me and asked, “Can I talk to you?” then “Can we sit somewhere?” We sat there next to the TSU and he was being really shy with what he had to say. It took him like 5-10 minutes, but eventually he got to saying, “I like you Joann.” :D So I said back, “I like you too” and gave him a hug. Few minutes later he walked me to my bike, I unlocked it then gave me a long hug and kissed him on the cheek. I biked back to the dorms just thinking about him. Ahhh. Haha. Then I came back here and Skyped with the besties, yay!:

During this Skype session though, I got a call from Samson and he asked if I wanted to go out and get food. So we did! :D Well, we just got yogurt, but yeah. Haha. We sat outside the dorms for practically 3 hours and it felt good. Even though there were silent moments, it didn’t feel awkward. (: We cuddled and held hands near the end and then he walked back to my dorm. Another long hug, followed by another one. I think I really like this boy (:

Sandara Park - she can dance, she can sing. She’s somebody I would love to switch lives for a day just to see how she deals with life.

HIM: Haha, definitely Circle K. This may sound completely crazy, but I don’t have to think during the meetings. Well, except when it comes to you; then I overthink things waaaay too much, haha. =p

ME: Saaayy what?Elaborate on that please?

HIM: Okay, you’re about to delve into the mind of a poor little boy who is completely shy in every way possible. =p

HIM: Okay! Well, last Thursday, I wanted to surprise you with your gift by coming to the SI session, but I took too long, and I arrived at school at 4:15. I spent like 10 minutes pacing back and forth, wondering if I should still go. Of course in the end, I just sat outside studying my flash cards. I swear, this only happens when it involves you, haha.

HIM: Hmmm, another example involved finally settling on the piece of toast in the store. =p I spent like 45 minutes deciding between two things, because I really wanted to get you a gift that you would like. Haha, I think the Korean lady kept making sure if I was stealing stuff or not. xpAhhh! Okay, no more. xp

ME: AWW, you’re so cute!

HIM: It’s embarrassing! Haha. xp But I really did start to really enjoy Thursdays a lot more because I know you now. =]Okay, seriously; no more. xD I talk waaaay too much. I’ll try not to overthink things anymore, haha. =p

Uhh, I’ve known about tumblr for the longest time. I made one along time ago, but I don’t remember the password. I made this one a while ago too and I deleted some earlier stuff from it because I wanted to start fresh. I currently use it now to mark my adventures in college.

Circle K family <3

Happy: Well, I’ve been recently listening to “Like a G6” by Far East Movement, “Wedding Dress” by Tae Yang, “Dance to This Song” by KevJumba, WongFu, and David Choi, and “Fire” by 2ne1. Damn, these are all Asian artists.. Haha. I put them on repeat every single - and I really mean EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Sad: Mm, I guess I listen to those relationship songs when I’m sad, even if my situation isn’t about a relationship. But I also listen to those songs that cheer you up when you have a bad day so that I don’t stay in a bubble.

Bored: Songs that I can dance to. I like to make up choreo in my head when I’m bored so I like listening to those songs with a good beat.

Hyped: Again, songs that you can dance to. When hyped, I like songs that resemble, “Get Low” by Lil’ Jon and the Eastside Boyz or “Get Outta Your Mind” by Lil’ Jon. Or “Like a G6” again. Haha.

Mad: Uhh.. I don’t really think I listen to songs when I’m mad.. Or I listen to songs to make me forget about what I was mad for. I guess I just listen to whatever sounds good when I feel like that.

The idea of these two coming to the meeting tomorrow doesn’t really tickle my fancy. 

I’m proud that I did better than I thought I did on my bio exam, even though it wasn’t that great. And I found some inspiration and motivation to have me trying my best at everything. (:

Hmm, let’s see. This month I would like to:

• Regain better study habits and do well on my tests - for obvious reasons
• Gain more confidence with dancing - so I can achieve my dream
• Make more friends - to expand my bubble

And I pretty much think that’s it. Simple stuff. 

Just wanted to say. 

Poreotics really have had the biggest impact on me this year. They gave me the confidence to dance and express myself like nobody has ever seen. They’ve shown me that anyone can achieve anything as long as you work for it. I think it’s mainly because Lawrence Devera attended my high school too. They really have been such a great inspiration for me. 

Mmm.. I’ll just say my favorite is Chun Li because I used to always choose her as my character in Tekken. And because she’s Asian ;P
